While an x-ray is never a guarantee of live puppy births, it is both important for the breeder to know how many might be in there, as well as exciting to try and interpret the image! Per the x-ray, we see at least 8-9 puppies. However, x-ray's lack depth perception in some areas, and organs and stool get in the way, so there may be one or two more hiding! We are so excited! One week till D-day (3/1), with 85% of dogs delivering on the day before or day of their due date; but as with people, dogs rarely look at a calendar, and can deliver as early 3-4 days before or one day later. We look forward to sleepless nights and taking lots of cute puppy pictures!

Ziva wins her first points and her first major (a 5 point major!) going Winner's Bitch over an entry of 12 Swissy girls! Thank you again, Janine Leoni, and Rich!
Poor Pearl, with 2 weeks yet to go, is already huge, even with close weight and diet management. She has taken to self limiting her activity, letting her younger and not pregnant siblings chase the balls, herd the cats, and play tug of war. X-rays in one week to try and get an expected puppy count!
