About Sybil
|
Sybil comes to us from one of the founding breeders of Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs in the United States, Juanita Jones of Whispering Palms. She traces back to Yuri, Pearl's grandsire, and also brings in new additions to our pedigrees that include dogs with both size and substance. Her name comes from the American Revolution, where a young woman by the name of Sybil Ludington performed a midnight ride, similar to Paul Revere's famous ride, to warn her community of the arrival of British Troops. This puppy is full of confidence and spunk, and fits right in with our crew! We are looking forward to watching this girl grow up, while also putting some working titles on her! As she has matured, Sybil has shown her amazing temperament everyday, with a "what are we doing next?" attitude, amazingly affectionate, and she has yet to meet a dog or a person that she doesn't like.

Show Career
|
Sybil earned her first two points at shows in Garden City, KS in March, 2019. Summer of 2019, Sybil suffered a soft tissue injury to her left rear hock, requiring treatment and therapy, postponing her show career. She re-entered the show ring in February, 2020, and then regrettably COVID-19 temporarily halted all dog shows. She has completed/passed all OFA health testing and obtained her CHIC number. Sybil was finally able to get back in the in ring in the summer and fall of 2021, and now is just a few points shy of her Championship, which we plan to finish summer of 2022.
