About Phoenix
|
Phoenix comes to us from a long term Swissy breeder and AKC Breeder of Merit Gold status, Laurie Carmody of Matterhorn Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. Laurie has a long standing reputation for producing top working dogs with multiple titles in multiple events, and has produced many Versatility Greater Swiss (VGS) titled Swissies. In addition, she has also produced top winning dogs in the conformation show ring, all with fabulous temperaments to go along with their structure and willingness to work. Phoenix is loosely related to our Sybil and our Pearl- all share Laurie Carmody's Yuri as a grandsire, but each from different offspring from different breedings. We are excited to see what Phoenix brings to our breeding program!

Show Career
|
Phoenix earned her first two points in a single showing at the Flatirons Kennel Club show in June, 2019 at 10 months old. She also won her first major at the Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club of October of 2019. She earned a subsequent 5 point major in February of 2020 at the Colorado Kennel Club Dog show. Phoenix finished in style with another 5 point major at the Arapahoe Kennel Club her very first show back in September 2020! Given her excellent/normal OFA Prelim results, we have decided to move forward with breeding her this fall.
